## Welder I - MIG - B-Shift-2Apply: Redmond, OR: Full time: Posted Today: JR102784**Job Description:**The Welder I is responsible for performing routine welding tasks to support the production of manufactured products. This role contributes to departmental objectives by completing basic welds, preparing materials, and ensuring components meet quality and safety standards. The Welder I works under supervision while developing foundational welding skills and maintaining productivity on the production line. This position also supports a safe and organized work environment while adhering to established procedures and guidelines.**Primary Duties:*** Perform routine welding tasks on production components, ensuring weld quality meets established standards.* Operate welding equipment to complete tack welds and continuous welds as required by production specifications.* Use cutting tools and equipment to prepare materials and perform basic metal cutting operations.* Utilize hand and power tools to grind, fit, and prepare metal components for welding.* Select appropriate materials and settings to support effective welding processes.* Inspect completed welds for quality and consistency and identify basic defects.* Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling equipment and materials.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support production efficiency.* Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:* Assist with material preparation and movement within the work area.* Support other production activities within the welding area as needed.* Follow standard work instructions and participate in training opportunities.* Communicate issues or concerns to supervisors for resolution.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Job Requirements****Education and Experience Requirements:*** Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED);* 0+ years of experience in welding, manufacturing, or a related field,* Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
