Job summary

Wastequip in Galt, CA is seeking a Welder 1 to join our MIG welding team. You will assemble components per prints and fixtures, perform MIG welds, and ensure weld quality while maintaining safety and production schedules.

The role requires MIG welding experience and the ability to read simple instructions, with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and clamp together as per layout marks.
• Tack welds work pieces and MIG welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Set up and adjust regulator valves for cutting torch and gas flow.
• Inspect weld beads for size and quality; grind or scar welds as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and meet production schedules.

## Welder 1Apply: Galt, CA: Full time: Posted Today: R-101409**Job Description:****Job Summary:**The welder position will have expertise in MIG Welding techniques, by focusing on the assembly of components, parts, and structures as specified by prints, layouts and/or jigs and fixtures. **Pay rate:** $22.82**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces.* MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
