ManpowerGroup in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Welder to accurately weld hydraulic cylinders and attachments per drawings using MIG/TIG/Robotic welding. You will operate in a fast-paced production setting emphasizing quality and safety.

The role requires interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols, selecting proper settings, and maintaining calibration with standard QC tools. You’ll contribute to maintenance and clean, safety-focused work areas.

Responsibilities

• Weld hydraulic cylinders and attachments per drawings using MIG/TIG/Robotic techniques.
• Join base plates, cross tubes, port blocks, and rod ends according to specs.
• Weld components to cylinders as specified by drawings and symbols.
• Interpret drawings, respond to directions, and set weld parameters.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges for quality checks and keep area clean.

Job description

As a Welder, I’m excited to apply my hands-on welding skills to build hydraulic cylinders and attachments with precision and pride. In this role, I’ll work in a fast-paced production environment where quality, safety, and attention to detail matter every day.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $23 + Shift Premium

Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday, 4PM-230AM

Weekend Shift - Friday-Sunday, 5:30AM-6PM - Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours

What's the Job?

• Accurately weld hydraulic cylinders and all attachments described in drawings using MIG/TIG/Robotic welding techniques.

• Join base plates, cross tubes, port blocks, and rod ends to cylinder tubes and rods, following specifications.

• Weld attachments and component parts to cylinders as specified by mechanical drawings and weld symbols.

• Interpret mechanical drawings and instructions, respond to management direction, and select proper weld settings on equipment.

• Use standard manual quality control tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), perform preventive maintenance as necessary, maintain equipment daily, and follow safety/security procedures while keeping the work area clean.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of MIG welding experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.

• Experience selecting proper weld settings and using standard manual quality control equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Commitment to safety practices, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to Five S standards and procedures.

• Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
