Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Welder to join the production team in Houston, TX on a full-time temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, the ability to follow welding and inspection requirements, and keep certifications current.

You will work nights on a 19:24-21:20 shift and be involved in both production and prototype work. Responsibilities include welds in stainless steel and precious metals using TIG/MIG, setting up fixtures, and performing guided testing

• Ability to weld to certification requirements.
• Comfort working with stainless steel and precious metals using TIG and/or MIG welding processes.
• Willingness to support both production and prototype work, including setup and fixture preparation.
• Ability to follow testing and quality expectations, including destructive and non-destructive testing requirements.

• May operate a programmed welding machine to weld production units and assist when workload requires it.
• Perform welding that must pass destructive and non-destructive testing per product requirements.

Job description

Our client, manufacturing is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the production team supporting full-time temporary operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, the ability to follow welding and inspection requirements, and the drive to keep certifications current—which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $1

Shift: Nights (19:24-21:20)

What's the Job?

• Welds production and less difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials, including stainless steel and precious or semi-precious metals, using welding processes such as TIG and/or MIG.
• May operate a program welding machine to weld production units and assist the program welding operator when workload requires it.
• Performs welding that must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements for each individual product.
• Sets up fixtures and lays out work for production and prototype piece parts to ensure accurate assembly.
• Performs miscellaneous production support work as required to keep operations moving.

• Ability to weld to certification requirements and maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product needs.
• Comfort working with stainless steel and precious or semi-precious metals using TIG and/or MIG welding processes.
• Willingness to support both production and prototype work, including setup, layout, and fixture preparation.
• Ability to follow testing and quality expectations, including destructive and non-destructive testing requirements.
• Open availability for overtime and weekends as needed, with a Monday to Friday schedule of 5:00 am - 3:30 pm (overtime/weekend support may apply).
