Job summary

ProMach is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to set up and weld metal parts per specifications using gas and electric welding equipment. You will read engineering drawings and BOMs, perform MIG and TIG welding, and verify tolerances with precision gauges.

Overtime may be required; lifting up to 50 pounds could be necessary. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years TIG welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, excellent English literacy, and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years' experience as a TIG welder.
• High school degree or GED; apprenticeship preferred.
• Proficient in reading/writing English and basic math.
• May lift parts/equipment up to 50 pounds; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld metal parts using gas and electric welding equipment per specs.
• Read engineering prints, bills of material, and manuals to determine requirements.
• Weld in multiple positions, including overhead, with MIG and TIG techniques.
• Inspect parts with precision tools to ensure tolerances; deburr and finish parts.

We are seeking a talented welder/fabricator to set up and weld various metal parts together as specified by using gas and electric welding equipment to produce component parts in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

Reads and interprets engineering prints and/or manufacturing manuals, bills of material, code charts, and/or verbal/written instructions to determine necessary requirements for the job. Performs combination welding including mig and tig with a knowledge of chemical composition of alloy in welding rod for various types of material. Must be proficient in Tig welding stainless steel. Uses a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments e.g Tape Measure, scale, calipers, micrometers, etc., to accurately set up equipment/machines, inspect and verify conformance of parts to specifications/tolerances. As required, cleans or degreases work piece using wire brush, portable grinder or repairs broken or cracked parts, fills chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or splatter. Welds in any position which includes overhead weld lines. Responsible for deburring all necessary parts after fabricating operation to meet required specifications/tolerances. Must be able to operate various machines like Bandsaws, Grinders, Press, Time Saver ,Belt sanders etc. Strictly follows all job safety requirements which includes forklift operation, hoist operation and housekeeping. Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job. Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

• High mental and visual abilities and good math skills which includes knowledge of fraction principles
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English and work well with others
• May require lifting of parts and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
• Overtime may be required
