Job summary

Sentry Equipment, a ProMach subsidiary, is seeking a Welder to assemble, fit, and weld metal components per engineering specs. You will read blueprints, select welding methods, and ensure weld quality and structural integrity across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts.

You’ll operate MIG, TIG and stick welders, prepare surfaces, and inspect completed welds while maintaining safety and meeting production schedules. Benefits begin on day one with comprehensive programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training is a plus.
• Experience in MIG, TIG and stick welding in manufacturing or fabrication environments preferred.
• Experience fitting and assembling metal components prior to welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and use precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with conveyor and machinery components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols.
• Measure, cut, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Fit and tack-weld parts to design specs before final welding.
• Set up and operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding equipment.
• Select welding rods, wires, and shielding gases for materials.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and alignment.
• Perform high-quality welds on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Inspect and test welds for structural integrity and specs.
• Use precision tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to assemble welded components.
• Maintain welding and fitting equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; help meet production goals.
• Assist with material handling and setup using forklifts or similar equipment.

The Welder is responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding metal components to meet engineering specifications and quality standards. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, fabricating and fitting parts before welding, selecting appropriate welding techniques, preparing materials, and inspecting completed welds to ensure accuracy and structural integrity. The welder must follow safety protocols, maintain production schedules, and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
