Job summary

Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Salisbury, NC is seeking a MIG Welder for our Steel Division. This role welds parts in jig fixtures and performs tack welds, layout work, and MIG welds on vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or technical training, MIG welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and be comfortable in a fast-paced production setting. Shift is first with Saturdays as needed; hourly rate $24.29.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience is a must.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tapes.
• Fast-paced production environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures and tack weld as directed.
• MIG weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connect regulators and light torch; adjust gas flow and flame.
• Inspect weld bead size and quality; grind slag and excess weld.
• Follow safety rules and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our New Salisbury, NC Steel manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Hourly Rate: $24.29Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30PM, with occasional SaturdaysResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesMIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
