Job summary

Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opening for a Welder in Erial, NJ. The ideal candidate is a MIG Welder with prior manufacturing experience. The role is Monday through Friday with a 6:00AM-4:30PM shift and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities include tack welding, MIG welds in multiple orientations, inspecting welds, and reading blueprints and tape measures. Candidates must pass safety tests and be able to lift heavy parts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools with basic math.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; training welcome.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or clamps and tack weld as required.
• MIG welds on vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Read blueprints, check bead size, and inspect weld quality.
• Grind slag and prepare welded parts; follow safety procedures.
• Operate in a fast-paced production setting; lift up to 90 lbs.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**Hourly Rate: $23.74****Shift Hours:** 6:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional Saturdays**Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
