Job summary

Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Welder at our Erial, NJ manufacturing operation. This MIG Welder position requires experience in a fast-paced production setting and offers a pay rate of $23.74 per hour. Shift is 6:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities include positioning parts, tack welding, MIG welding in various directions, connecting regulators, and inspecting weld quality to meet specifications. Lifting up to 90 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape.
• Basic math skills including fractions & decimals.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts in jigs or fixtures and tack welds as directed.
• MIG welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Examine welds for bead size and specification, and finish cleanup as required.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**Hourly Rate: $23.74****Shift Hours:** 6:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional Saturdays**Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
