Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a particular focus on steel and metal alloys. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative company that values technical skill, creativity, and teamwork. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
  • Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
  • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
  • Maintain and repair all machinery associated with welding work.
  • Understand the properties of different metals and how to handle and combine them.
  • Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and conform to specifications.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to standard.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a welder with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Professional Certification in welding from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with steel and metal alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of different welding techniques (TIG, MIG, MMA etc.)
  • Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
