Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Quality Manager-Weld/Fabrication to lead ISO 9001 quality management across welding and fabrication in our growing manufacturing environment. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

The successful candidate will oversee QMS implementation, PPAP/APQP, and supplier quality initiatives, while mentoring teams and reporting metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role in manufacturing or construction.
• Proven experience in welding and fabrication processes, particularly with steel and sheet metal.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001 and 9000.
• Expertise in statistical analysis tools and methodologies, including SPC, MSA, and Six Sigma.
• Experience in implementing Lean and 6S methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP and APQP processes.
• Experience in supplier quality management and vendor development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Pressure Vessel experience would be ideal.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Quality Manager-Weld/Fabrication to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality management related to welding and fabrication processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving continuous improvement, enhancing product quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• 1. Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• 2. Manage and control welding and fabrication processes to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• 3. Utilize statistical analysis tools like SPC and MSA to monitor, control, and improve product and process quality.
• 4. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce waste.
• 5. Oversee production part approval process (PPAP) and advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities.
• 6. Lead supplier quality management initiatives, including vendor development and performance monitoring.
• 7. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement of processes.
• 8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and resolve quality issues.
• 9. Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.
• 10. Manage and report on quality performance metrics to senior management.
