Position Description

Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, ensuring safety, timeliness, and high quality.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
2. Examine workpieces for defects and measure to ensure specifications.
3. Weld metal components such as piping, plates, and structural shapes using electric arc-welding equipment, following blueprints, diagrams, or instructions.
4. Prepare and adjust welding equipment, including selecting electrodes and setting parameters.
5. Perform welding in various positions and inspect welds for quality.
6. May perform additional tasks such as cleaning, repairing, fitting, and cutting metal parts, and using different welding processes as needed.
7. Observe safety protocols, including the use of respiratory protection.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to TIG and stick weld on stainless and/or carbon steel.
• Pass required weld tests.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in various environmental conditions.
• Ability to read, write, communicate clearly, and perform basic math.
• Must have own TIG rig and stinger, and other specified tools.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, and work in hot/cold environments.
• Background check and drug testing may be required.
