Job summary

BESTAFF in New Albany, IN is hiring a MIG Welder for a 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. This temp-to-hire role offers a daytime schedule with pay based on experience and the opportunity to grow within a family-owned machine shop.

You will weld to exact specifications, read blueprints, measure and fit parts, and ensure weld quality. Cleanliness, safety, and reliability are essential to success in this shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong measuring skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in a machine shop or fabrication environment preferred.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on fabricated parts and assemblies to exact specifications.

• Measure, lay out, and fit parts using tape measures, calipers, and squares.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and appearance.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
