Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Intermediate Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of welding techniques and equipment, be able to build from drawings, and perform welding tasks with minimal supervision. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components using welding equipment in a variety of environments.
Key Responsibilities: ● Perform MIG welding based on job specifications and materials. ● Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures. ● Prepare materials and equipment, ensuring proper setup and maintenance of welding tools. ● Inspect welded surfaces for defects and compliance with standards using visual and/or testing tools. ● Cut and trim metal components using oxy-fuel torches, grinders, or saws. ● Perform finish sanding. ● Maintain safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. ● Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators and supervisors, to complete projects on time.
Qualifications: ● 2–5 years of professional welding experience. ● High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification is a plus. ● Proficient in reading blueprints and technical schematics. ● Knowledge of various welding processes (MIG). ● Basic math and measurement skills. ● Strong attention to detail and quality control. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ● Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
