Job Description: As the Welder, you will serve the commercial, agricultural, and defense industries for a custom fabricator of metal solutions. This temp-to-hire role offers opportunities for career growth with good attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities:

1. Cut and join metals and other materials; verify and document all receipts of incoming materials, goods, and services
2. Use hand tools for assembly of fabricated parts
3. Read blueprints and drawings; take or read measurements for planning
4. Select appropriate welding equipment or methods based on requirements
5. Set up components for welding according to specifications
6. Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
7. Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces
8. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions
9. Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps
10. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or trade certification
2. At least 6 months of welding experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or machine shop environment
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings
4. Ability to lift 50 lbs
5. Ability to stand for long periods
