Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a D Shift Welder/Assembler in the United States. You will follow supervisor instructions to MIG/TIG/ARC weld and assemble components, ensuring leak-free seams and tight tolerances.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and adherence to 5S standards. You’ll work rotating night shifts (Wed 11pm–5am; Thu–Sat 5pm–5am) and collaborate across departments, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Experience with welding and assembly is preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components in fixtures and welds to provide leak-free seams and maintain critical dimensions.
• Perform repairs of own work and adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Maintain quality of own work; report safety, quality or equipment issues to supervisor immediately.
• Participate in process improvement activities and help identify and resolve defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization following 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

D Shift Position

Wednesday 11pm - 5am

Thursday - Saturday 5pm - 5am

Works from verbal and written instructions from supervisor.

*Assembles components in fixture and welds assembly together by various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC etc) to provide leak-free seam, maintain critical dimensions, and structural and visual quality.

*Makes repairs of own work.

*Work is routine and repetitive.

*Changes points in welding tip and makes minor adjustments on equipment settings.

*Responsible for quality of own work.

*Reports irregularities in the job (safety, quality, equipment, material) to the supervisor immediately.

*Performs other duties related to the occupation including assignments in other departments as required.

*Maintains area in accordance with defined 5S standards (organization and cleanliness).

*Perform other duties as assigned.

*Participates in process improvement activities and provides data to drive identification and resolution of process failures or defects.
