Job summary

G & W Products in Fairfield, OH is seeking an experienced Welder to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components, interpreting blueprints and drawings to guide Arc, TIG, MIG, and Flux Core welds on stainless steel and aluminum.

You will work with overhead cranes and other lifting equipment, perform quality inspections, and ensure safety standards on construction, manufacturing, or repair projects across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Proven welding experience with TIG, MIG, or Flux Core.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with stainless steel or aluminum fabrication and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on stainless steel or aluminum as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings for welding specs.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures per project specs.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely.
  • Inspect welded joints for integrity and safety compliance.
  • Maintain and report welding equipment malfunctions; work with team to plan tasks.

About the Role:

As a Welder, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise welding tasks using various techniques such as Arc, TIG, MIG, and/ or Flux Core welding. You will work with a variety of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel or perform tasks ranging from metal fabrication to brazing, contributing to the successful completion of construction, manufacturing, or repair projects. The role demands a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols, especially when operating equipment like overhead cranes. Ultimately, your work will directly impact the durability, functionality, and safety of the final products delivered to clients across diverse industries in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in either TIG, MIG, and or Flux Core welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum or other metal fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other Material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
  • Experience with brazing techniques and advanced metal joining methods.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of welding inspection and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work with computerized welding equipment or automation tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding operations on various metals including stainless steel or aluminum

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely to position materials for welding and assembly.
  • Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute welding tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
