CMC, a Fortune 500 company, seeks an on-site technician in Denton, TX, with layout and welding experience to support our reinforcement and steel product operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using welding equipment, reading weld symbols, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Formación

• Two plus years of layout and welding experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to read weld symbols and WPS.
• Judgment to sequence welds for efficiency and minimize distortion.

Responsabilidades

• Achieve the goal of zero accidents by using all protective equipment and suggesting improvements.
• Produce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure parts fit within specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure to specifications using straightedges or templates.
• Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order and report issues promptly.

What You’ll Do

• Achieve the goal of zero accidents by using all protective equipment assigned and suggest safety improvements
• Produce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure that parts fit within specified parameters via testing and/or quality control checks
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order Report any issues or discrepancies immediately

What You’ll Need

• Two plus years of layout and welding experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production goals
• Ability to read and understand weld symbols, pre-qualified weld designations, and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Use of judgment to sequence welds in order to maximize efficiency and minimize weld distortion

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
