Job summary

CMC is a Fortune 500 company with a long history in construction reinforcement and steel products. We seek hands-on team players to join our operating teams, learning to run and troubleshoot shop equipment while upholding safety standards.

You will participate in training programs, assist in loading and unloading materials, and help maintain clean, safe workspaces on site. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• PPE use in an industrial setting.
• Strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold safety culture.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines.
• Set up, operate, monitor and adjust shop equipment to ensure a conforming product.

What You'll Do

• Attend required training on all relevant equipment andoperate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Crosstrain on multiple machines
• Ability to efficiently set-up, operate, monitor and adjust shop equipment to ensure a conforming product This can include the furnaces, straighteners, saws and shot blast

What You'll Need

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stretch, bend and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions
• Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
