Job summary

CMC in Austin, TX seeks a dependable industrial maintenance professional to support our manufacturing and equipment operations. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy machinery, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with a skilled team to keep production moving.

This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, read technical manuals, and perform preventive maintenance, with opportunities for training and advancement at a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics and heavy equipment.
• Strong teamwork and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Operate and support manufacturing equipment.

What You'll Do

• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Effectively communicates with co-workers and customers in a positive manner
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast‑paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
• Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
• Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
• Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
• Valid drivers license
• Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
