Job summary

Universal Industries, Inc. in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking an experienced welder for a fast-paced sheet metal environment. You will weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material per predesigned blueprints using electric arc-welding equipment.

This full-time role requires a weld test, the ability to MIG weld, and TIG welding is a plus. Pre-employment drug screen and physical are contingent on employment, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Universal Industries, Inc. is looking for an experienced welders to work in our fast paced sheet metal manufacturing environment. This position will weld carbon steel, stainless steel and galvanized material based on predesigned blue prints.

Earn up to $27.00/hour- dependent on experience!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Weld together metal components of products.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and weld symbols.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material with electric arc-welding equipment.
• Operates manufacturing computer system in relation to shop orders and time card data entry.
• Operates LP and/or electric fork truck(s) to gather parts for weldments and to deliver finished weldments, when necessary.
• Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture.
• Tacks assemblies together.
