Job summary

Xtreme Fabrication in Henderson, NV is seeking a MIG Welder III to perform production floor welding and layout of weldments, meeting the forecasted build plan. The role focuses on delivering quality parts that meet engineering and quality standards while ensuring on-time delivery.

The candidate must read blueprints, use tape measures and measuring tools, and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Schedule: Mon-Thu, 3pm-1:30am, with Crane/riging tasks and strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must read blue prints and have knowledge of weld symbols.
• Must know fractions and decimals, including fraction conversions.
• Must be able to read and use tape measure, steel rules and squares.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet standard rates and schedules.
• Assist in the training other employees in safe and efficient use of jigs/fixtures.
• Must work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within our quality standards to ensure timely completion.
• Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components.
• Must know how to use precision measuring instruments and equipment to build steel structures.
• Must be able to assist in training new employees in fabrication and welding methods with an emphasis on safe and efficient ways.

SUMMARY:

Performs production floor welding and layout of Sub weldments or Final Weldments in meeting the production standard rate for each weldment including following and meeting the build plan supplied by the forecast.

The primary focus of this position is to manufacture our products, and ensure we deliver affordable, high- quality parts that meet our specifications. The MIG Welder is to provide assurance that our products meet Engineering and Quality requirements including On-time delivery. The candidate shall be highly motivated and an effective team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 years minimum welding experience.
• Certified welder.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills:

• Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend written and verbal English.

Note:

• Work schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1:30am
• Drug screen required.
