Job summary

Universal Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced welder for our fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment. You will weld carbon steel, stainless steel and galvanized material based on predesigned blue prints, read blueprints and weld symbols, and operate electric arc-welding equipment.

This role offers a welding test, pre-employment drug screen, and overtime as needed. Expect lifting up to 75 lbs and a requirement for reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Welding test required.

Responsibilities

• Weld together metal components of products.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and weld symbols.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material with electric arc-welding equipment.
• Operates manufacturing computer system in relation to shop orders and time card data entry.
• Operates LP and/or electric fork trucks to gather parts for weldments and to deliver finished weldments, when necessary.
• Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture.
• Tacks assemblies together.
