Job summary

Allegheny Bradford Corporation in Bradford, PA is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. This hands-on role uses TIG (GTAW) welding to fabricate stainless steel components per strict specifications, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality in a clean, safety-conscious environment.

You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, measure and inspect with calipers and gauges, operate power tools and lifting equipment, and document progress.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary welding certificate or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow written instructions.
• Comfortable in a dusty/dirty environment with standing/movement.
• 1st shift: Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM–3:30 PM with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication – TIG weld stainless steel components per specs.
• Blueprint Interpretation – read and follow technical drawings.
• Measurement & Inspection – use calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures to verify.
• Tool Operation – safely use power tools and lifting equipment (forklifts/overhead cranes).
• Documentation & Communication – record work and communicate status.
• Safety & Cleanliness – maintain safe, organized workspace and follow safety protocols.

Who are You?

• You are proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding and familiar with a range of metal joining and forming techniques.
• You can read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with confidence.
• You take pride in your attention to detail and commitment to producing work within tight tolerances.
• You’re dependable, safety‑conscious, and work well both independently and in a team setting.
• You’re comfortable in a hands‑on production environment — including lifting, bending, climbing, and working around metal dust.

What will You do?

• Welding & Fabrication – Use TIG welding to fabricate stainless steel components according to specs and customer requirements.
• Blueprint Interpretation – Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and written/verbal instructions.
• Measurement & Inspection – Use calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and digital levels to inspect your work and ensure compliance.
• Tool Operation – Safely operate power tools and lifting equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Documentation & Communication – Record your work, communicate status updates, and adhere to quality standards.
• Safety & Cleanliness – Maintain a safe, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols.

Tools & Technology

• TIG welding equipment
• Power and hand tools: grinders, torches, saws, drill presses, metal benders
• Lifting and handling equipment: forklifts, overhead cranes
• Measuring tools: calipers, weld gauges, tape measures

Qualifications
