Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking a Weld Support Technician to join our Texas Test Site. You will execute plasma programming, operate a band saw and chop saw, and assist with material movements to support welding operations.

You will analyze engineering drawings for dimensions and tolerances, obtain required licenses, and participate in continuous improvement to reduce turnaround times while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience with hand tools, band saws, or torch cutting in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with plasma table programming/operating is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plasma table programming, operate a band saw and chop saw, and assist with drilling and milling tasks.
• Analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of cut parts.
• Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and support cross-functional teamwork.
• Collaborate with leaders to complete assignments and review issues for continuous improvement.
