Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Weld Support Technician on 2nd shift at our Texas Test Site to execute welding-related tasks and support cross-functional operations.

You will program/operate plasma tables, handle saws, and assist with material movements, while analyzing drawings for tolerances and maintaining required licenses. This role emphasizes safety and continuous process improvement, with flexibility for site needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 2+ years of experience with hand tools, band saws, or torch cutting in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment
• Preferred: plasma table programming/operating
• Experience in cutting or machining operations or job shop environments

Responsibilities

• Perform plasma table programming and operate a band saw or chop saw
• Analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of cut parts
• Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes
• Collaborate with leaders to complete assignments and review issues for improvement
• Perform related duties to ensure an efficient work environment
