Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Weld Support Technician for the 2nd shift at our Texas Test Site. The role supports weld operations by programming/operating plasma tables, running band saws and chop saws, drilling and milling materials, and moving parts around the shop with safety and precision.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years using hand tools or cutting equipment in manufacturing settings, with willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience with hand tools, band saws, or torch cutting in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform plasma table programming and operate band saws and chop saws.
• Analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of cut parts.
• Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and cooperate within the team.
• Work with leaders to complete assignments, solve problems, meet deadlines, and review issues for improvement.
• Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
