Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Shift Lead for Weld Fabrication on the Lunar Lander program. You will oversee orbital tube welding, VPPA welding, and manual weld operations, leading technicians to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-schedule manufacturing outcomes.

You will drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and team performance while coordinating with cross-functional teams and maintaining production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years in OTW, VPPA, manual weld, aerospace structures or similar field.
• 2+ years leadership or team lead experience in a production environment.
• Experience welding on various substrates; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily weld operations for Lunar Lander program.
• Assign and coordinate technician work to meet production schedules and milestones.
• Ensure adherence to engineering specs, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Monitor and drive performance across cost, quality, and schedule metrics (CQS).
• Serve as primary point of contact for shift-level production issues, escalation and resolution.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and safety procedures.
