ElDorado National California Inc. in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Weld Shop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the weld shop for heavy-duty bus frames in carbon steel and 304L stainless steel.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity, with accountability for staffing, scheduling, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration across departments to meet commitments and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of frontline supervisory experience in manufacturing or welding environments.
• Experience leading union/non-union teams and enforcing safety standards.
• Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication, and quality control practices.
• Ability to interpret schedules, plan staffing, and manage workflow across shifts.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Weld Shop operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals.
• Translate production schedules into staffing priorities, considering mixed models and materials.
• Set shift expectations, conduct huddles, and communicate priorities shop-wide.
• Maintain a visible shop-floor leadership presence and address concerns promptly.
• Coach performance, administer corrective actions, and partner with HR and Production Manager.
• Develop future leaders through training, performance reviews, and cross-training.
• Ensure work aligns with released drawings, WPS, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, EH&S, and planning to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using 5S, standard work, and waste reduction.
