ElDorado National California Inc. (ENC) seeks a Weld Shop Supervisor in Riverside, CA. This onsite role leads fabrication of heavy-duty transit bus structures, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The supervisor directs weld teams, coordinates with departments, and drives continuous improvement. The position requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of frontline supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce safety, quality, and attendance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Weld Shop operations for carbon steel and 304L stainless steel bus structures.
• Translate production schedule into daily priorities and staffing plans.
• Set shift expectations, conduct daily huddles, and communicate priorities.
• Maintain a visible shop-floor presence and address concerns promptly.
• Apply policies and manage attendance, coaching, and corrective action.
• Build constructive labor relations and resolve issues fairly.
• Supervise Weld Leads and Welders for schedule, efficiency, and quality.
• Assign work based on qualifications and capacity; coordinate training.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, WPS, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality and welding inspection for root causes and corrective actions.
• Enforce environmental, health and safety requirements; stop unsafe work.
• Ensure equipment, fixtures, and consumables are ready and properly maintained.
• Collaborate with Planning, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, EH&S.
• Monitor KPIs and maintain records on labor, output, and downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement via standardized work, 5S, and visual management.
• Support staffing and onboarding as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
