Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated individual for first shift manufacturing roles in Cusseta, AL. The candidate will operate resistance spot welders and power presses, follow the Quality Policy, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include following instructions, maintaining clean work areas, and meeting customer requirements. You'll join a team focused on safety, ownership, and teamwork, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement and ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• Understands and can explain the company's Quality Policy.
• Understands job description and required tasks.
• Able to explain how this position impacts customer satisfaction and contributes to fulfilling the Quality Policy.
• Understand the overview of Quality Management System and document architecture.
• Understands and explain all relevant quality policies, procedures and work instructions associated with this job description.
• Identify Quality Management System non-conformances and document them; participate in preventative actions.
• Conducts corrective actions and problem solving as required.
• Stops work on processes when appropriate to contain suspect or defective material or services.
• Works at different work stations as production needs require.
• Ensures materials needed are present and retrieved.
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Inspects parts for conformance to specifications and discusses non-conformances with leaders.
• Cleans machines.
• Packs parts in relation to each other.
• Completes tags to track flow of product and identify operators.
• Completes paperwork and turns it into the team leader.

• Work at multiple stations as needed.
• Ensure materials are present and retrieved when needed.
• Start press and monitor operation for misalignment or malfunction.
• Inspect parts for conformance and discuss issues with supervisor.
• Clean machines and organize workspace.
• Pack parts properly and tag their movement.
• Submit paperwork to team leader.
