Baxter Manufacturing Engineer – Weld is responsible for supporting welding and fabrication processes, resolving production challenges, and ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance. The role involves continuous improvement, design modifications, and managing safety and documentation from day one.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires a strong welding background, experience in lean manufacturing, and the ability to lead multiple projects with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding or Industrial Engineering required.
• Over 2 years of job-related experience in manufacturing and weld engineering.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing subject areas.
• Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy in production welding with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of welding processes and welding tooling for precision plans.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs in fabrication and welding.
• Troubleshoot product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Confer with engineers to implement procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
• Determine root causes of failures and propose design or process changes.
• Plan steps to fabricate, weld, paint, or plate parts for maximum efficiency.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings and update job instructions and SOPs.
