Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Weld Engineer in Jonesboro, AR to develop and optimize welding procedures, review weld specs, and support robotic welding systems. You will design 2D/3D CAD models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead root-cause investigations to improve quality and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Welding Engineering (or related field) and an active CWI certification, with strong knowledge of AWS/ASME codes and CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related field is required.
  • Active CWI certification is required.
  • Experience with AWS/ASME welding codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and optimize welding procedures and process specs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Design and modify 2D/3D CAD models, welded components, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
  • Perform weld inspections and quality audits with CWI expertise and document management.
  • Troubleshoot welding defects and production challenges; implement corrective actions.
  • Support robotic and automated welding systems, including cobots and production welders.
  • Lead root cause investigations and drive continuous improvement and safety culture.
