Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Weld Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools in the plant.

You will troubleshoot electrically and mechanically, service robotics and welding equipment (MIG, Spot, Stud), and support continuous improvement initiatives on 1st shift (5:00 AM–1:00 PM). A high school diploma or GED and at least five years of machine repair experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years of machine repair experience in manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair production machinery and tools in the plant.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues; maintain robotics and welding equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and train junior weld maintenance mechanics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with shim adjustments as needed.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with company procedures.
