Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in patient registration or healthcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Explain admission forms and patient rights.
• Collect co-pays and perform cashiering functions.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations.
• Direct patients to appropriate departments and coordinate with staff.
• Answer calls and route with accurate information.
• Maintain records and ensure HIPAA compliance and policies.
• Support daily census reporting and department operations.
