Job summary

Panda is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to support safe site activity and compliant waste movements at our Widnes operation. You will operate the weighbridge, capture data accurately, and communicate with the Yard Operations team to keep records up to date.

The role rewards accuracy, clear communication, and teamwork with transport, commercial, and compliance colleagues, and involves using AMCS with training provided; prior system experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to provide clear notes and accurate information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Organised, practical approach to daily tasks.
• Able to work with operational, transport, commercial, and compliance teams.
• AMCS experience desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and ensure data is captured in systems.
• Enter vehicle details and weights accurately.
• Communicate with Yard Operations using two-way radio.
• Ensure compliance for waste transfer notes.
• Check waste carrier licences using the national register.
• Coordinate with teams to handle out-of-spec material.
• Assist with contaminated load reports.
• Ensure correct paperwork and destinations for outbound offtakes.
• Maintain compliant document storage and archiving.
• Provide written reports when required.
