Job summary

Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit. The SE Weekender role covers 12-hour day shifts on weekends, with a schedule that includes Saturdays and Sundays from 07:00 to 19:30.

A sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 may be offered. Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program, Missouri LPN licensure, BLS certification (or within 30 days), and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification or course within 30 days of hire; LPN-IV certification completed or within 3 months for Missouri.
• Current LPN license in the hiring state; must meet State Board requirements.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:SE Weekender - Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Clinical Decision Unit

Status: Part-Time - 24hrs/week

Shift: 12 Hour Days - Scheduled Weekends 0700-1930

***Position may be sign-on bonus eligible up to $2,000***

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Experience: Experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
