Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the SE Weekender role. Part-Time (24 hrs/week) with 12-hour day shifts on weekends (0700-1930).

You will provide nursing care under supervision, coordinate patient care with departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality in line with Mercy standards. Position offers a sign-on bonus up to $2,000 and Mercy's comprehensive benefits for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Missouri LPN licensure must be current and in good standing.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• SE Weekender - Licensed Practical Nurse
• Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
• Department: Clinical Decision Unit
• Status: Part-Time - 24hrs/week
• Shift: 12 Hour Days - Scheduled Weekends 0700-1930

Position may be sign-on bonus eligible up to $2,000

Qualifications:

• Education : Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Experience : Experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications : Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands : Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
