Job summary

Mercy is seeking a weekend edition LPN to join the Clinical Decision Unit at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. This SE Weekender position is part-time (24 hrs/week) with 12-hour night shifts on weekends (1900-0730).

A sign-on bonus up to $2,000 may be available and licensure in Missouri is required. Graduates of an accredited practical nursing program are encouraged to apply; BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days, and LPN-IV certification should be current or

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration for comparable education experience and licensure.
• Missouri LPN license required; maintain current licensure.
• BLS certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.
• LPN-IV certification completed or completed within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri.
• Physical: push, pull, and lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist and squat.

Position Details:

SE Weekender - Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)

Status: Part-Time - 24hrs/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights - Scheduled Weekends 1900-0730

***Position may be sign-on bonus eligible up to $2,000***

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Experience: Experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
