Job summary

Spectrum Child and Family Services is seeking a Weekend Shift Supervisor at Valor Place in Detroit, overseeing a 24-hour residential program for youths aged 15 to 19. You will coach frontline staff, uphold program standards, and help residents develop accountability and trust.

This on-site, part-time leadership role requires strong communication, staff development, restorative justice, and collaboration with external agencies to support care plans while maintaining safety and licensing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university plus at least 2 years of experience in a child-caring institution.
Two years of accredited college coursework plus at least 3 years of professional experience in a child-caring institution.
High School Diploma plus at least 4 years of professional experience in a child-caring institution.

Responsibilities

Lead weekend shifts and mentor Youth Specialists on duty.
Manage shift schedules to maintain staff-to-resident ratios and program standards.
Uphold program integrity and compliance with MDHHS and Child Welfare Licensing requirements.
Foster restorative environment and collaborate with external agencies to support care plans.
