Job summary

Sasha Bruce Youthwork seeks a Youth Engagement Specialist to coordinate daily activities at Bruce House and provide a safe, supportive environment for high‑risk youth in crisis. The role requires crisis intervention, record keeping, and collaboration with the Program Director and staff.

Weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 11 PM. Strong English, license, and willingness to work flexible hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong spoken and written English language skills, including report writing.
• Possess good organizational skills, the ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and be detailed oriented.
• Ability to work extra hours, attend meetings/training, when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of Bruce House and maintain a safe, caring environment for high-risk youth.
• Monitor safety and conduct of residents and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain records and reports of house activities in the house log.
• Provide on-site crisis intervention and counseling.
• Carry out emergency procedures including fire evacuation and illness/accident response.
• Provide office coverage, answer and record calls and visitors.
• Ensure supervision of house participants and enforce house rules.
