Job summary

Sasha Bruce Youthwork in the DC region is seeking a part-time Youth Engagement Specialist to support safety, supervision, and crisis intervention for residents ages 13–21 in our therapeutic group home.

The role runs overnight on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 PM to 7 AM and requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2–3 years in human services, a valid driver’s license, and commitment to ending youth homelessness and trauma-informed care. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years' experience in Human Services or related field.
• Experience working with adolescents/young adults is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and conduct of house residents.
• Provide clinical and crisis intervention as needed.
• Report, plan, and implement weekday activity schedules.
• Maintain logs and records of house activities.
• Carry out emergency procedures and on-site counseling.
• Participate in supervision meetings with the program director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
