Valmont Industries in Columbus, NE, is seeking an experienced Welder for the weekend day shift. You will weld metal components using MIG and read blueprints to fabricate and repair structures, while maintaining safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or welding trade schooling preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• Minimum 6 months welding experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or layouts to fit parts for welding.
• Layout marks on metal parts and cut with a torch.
• Weld structural components for steel poles, substations, and related structures.
• Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.
• Move and handle pole shafts with an overhead crane; gather materials.
• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
