Job summary

Aperion Care Wesley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Warrior Nurse to join our team. As an RN you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

You will work every weekend, Friday to Sunday, to ensure the highest quality care at all times. Requirements include RN licensure and CPR certification; LT care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing and CPR certification required.
• LT Care experience preferred.
• Strong English reading/writing; able to make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and provide leadership to nursing personnel on your unit/shift.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents and maintain required charts/records.
• Chart nurse notes and complete accident/incident reports as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician and coordinate with inter-departmental staff.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of resident care information.

Weekend Warrior Nurse - RN

Job Summary

Aperion Care Wesley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Warrior Nurse to join our team. as RN you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. In this critical role, you will be working every weekend, Friday to Sunday, to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required, and complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts
• Chart nurse's notes in an informative and descriptive manner, and fill out and complete accident/incident reports as needed
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, and develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel
• Monitor and ensure that nursing care is provided in privacy, and maintain confidentiality of all resident care information

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• Current CPR Certification is required, and experience in Long Term Care is preferred

Physical Demands

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including a medical and physical examination
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
