Job summary

Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY seeks a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our clinical team. You will plan and manage patient care, interview patients, record medical histories, monitor vital signs, and support physicians and RNs in daily rounds.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages patient care.
• Interviews patients and records medical history and condition.
• Obtains vital signs (pulse, BP, temperature, respiration).
• Provides routine care and observes health.
• Reviews medical charts and communicates with patients and families.
• Assists physicians and RNs.
• Performs basic diagnostics (EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, Doppler).
• Prepares specimens for lab courier and administers medications.
• Provides wound care and injections; monitors catheters.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Job duties:

• Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.

• Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.

• Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.

• Provides routine care for patients.

• Observes patients’ health.

• Reviews medical charts.

• Accompanies patients to their rooms.

• Assists physicians and registered nurses.

• Communicates with patients and their families.

• Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.

• Prepares specimens for lab courier.

• Administers medications.

• Provides wound care.

• Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.

• Assists with patient comfort.

• Monitors catheters.

Shift differentials are available for 3p-11p

Weekend Shift differntials are available for Saturday and Sunday

Weekend Warriors work 16 hour shifts and get paid for 20 hours!

Qualifications:

• LPN license
