Job summary

Upstate Services Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for FT or PT shift coverage from 3p to 11p in New York. You will plan and manage patient care, conduct patient interviews, obtain vital signs, and assist with procedures while coordinating with physicians and RNs.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, wound care, injections, and essential nursing duties, with weekend and 3p-11p differential opportunities. Training and supportive leadership are highlighted in the team environment.

Qualifications

• LPN license or recent graduate.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
• Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
• Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Provides routine care for patients.
• Observes patients’ health.
• Reviews medical charts.
• Accompanies patients to their rooms.
• Assists physicians and registered nurses.
• Communicates with patients and their families.
• Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
• Prepares specimens for lab courier.
• Administers medications.
• Provides wound care.
• Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
• Assists with patient comfort.
• Monitors catheters.
