Job summary

Upstate Services Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced facility in New York. You will work closely with physicians and registered nurses to support patients at every step of their care, including routine assessments, medication administration, and necessary procedures.

The role offers 3pm–11pm shift differentials and weekend differential options. Weekend Warriors may work 16-hour shifts and be paid for 20 hours, with extensive training

Qualifications

• LPN license required to practice in NY.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
• Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
• Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Provides routine care for patients.
• Observes patients’ health.
• Reviews medical charts.
• Accompanies patients to their rooms.
• Assists physicians and registered nurses.
• Communicates with patients and their families.
• Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
• Prepares specimens for lab courier.
• Administers medications.
• Provides wound care.
• Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
• Assists with patient comfort.
• Monitors catheters.
