Job summary

Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Memphis is seeking compassionate CNAs for weekend shifts (7a–7p) to support residents with daily living activities, mobility, and monitoring changes in condition.

Qualifications

• One year of CNA experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Current state CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' daily living needs (bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulating).
• Take and record vital signs; assist with lifting, movement, and transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Current state certification as a CNA
