Job summary

Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Memphis is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our resident-centered care team. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and help maintain comfort and dignity at the end of life.

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in long-term care.
• Current CNA certification in the state.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' daily living needs including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record vital signs and assist with lifting, moving, and transporting residents with proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Assist nurses with duties as directed.
• Support mobility and daily care activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Current state certification as a CNA
