Job summary

Freight Breakers LLC in West Jordan, Utah is hiring a Freight Handler / Box Loader & Unloader for full-time weekend day and overnight shifts. You will move cartons, load and unload trailers, and operate handheld scanners in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This position offers productivity-based pay, with typical earnings between $16 and $25 per hour and potential to earn more with higher output. Eligible employees receive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Safely handle packages ranging from approximately 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Work effectively in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Follow workplace safety rules and operational procedures.
• Successfully complete required background and drug screening.
• Have dependable transportation to the West Jordan facility.

Responsibilities

• Moving cartons between conveyors, staging areas, cages, and trailers.
• Loading packages directly into trailers and arranging freight securely.
• Removing freight from incoming trailers and placing packages onto conveyor systems.
• Using handheld scanners to record and track shipments.
• Sorting packages into the appropriate cages or designated areas.
• Maintaining an organized loading and unloading area.
• Following proper lifting techniques and company safety procedures.
• Working efficiently while maintaining accuracy and protecting freight from damage.
• Communicating with coworkers and supervisors to keep freight moving smoothly.
